Ninja 300 - New tires, new chain, new sprockets + service?
#1
Hello everyone

I have a 2014 Ninja 300 ABS SE - 21,000 km

It needs new tires and a new chain, so might as well get new sprockets too.

I have a trip mid august and its going to be about 1,500 km. Definitely need the new tires & chain before the trip.

Is it ok to have burnaby Kawasaki do the 24K service @ 21K? Reason I ask is because I will probably be hitting 24K by then (my commute to work is about 90 km there and back). 2 months of work commute plus the trip will be about 5k.

If I don't get that service now, I will be going for it 2 months later.

So I'm thinking, if the bike is there for the tires & chain, might as well get that service too?

Any thoughts?

Please let me know if you need more information

Thanks

That's very smart forward thinking! If you explain your situation while you're there, the service advisors will give you the best plan.

What he said!
A few thousand kilometers won`t short change you much, and saves you time as well.
Chain and sprockets are almost always done a set. In fact, rarely do you do one and not the other!
Enjoy your trip ;-)
