Date: Sunday July 26, 2020
Time: 07:15am, leave 07:30
07:15: Meet: St. Davids United Church parking lot. 1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver
08:15: Alternate Meet Point: Squamish Valley Gas Bar; leave 08:30

Destination: Watersprite Lake Trailhead / Indian Arm
Route: HWY99. Mamquam River FSR, Skookum Power road, Indian River Road

Reference: PES Tips, Links and Suggested Beginner Level Gravel Adventure Routes - Squamish Area from Squamish Valley Gas Bar

Come ride with Malcolm and RD to Squamish and up to the Skookum Power dam / Watersprite Trail Head then on to Indian Arm before returning to Squamish. It’s a good ride with spectacular views. We’ll stop for lunch at Indian Arm before returning to the Gas Bar and home.

We’ll meet, socialize and have a safety meeting before departure to Squamish. At the Gas Bar, riders can gas-up and adjust their gear for the FSR’s. We’ll stop at various points on the FSR’s to regroup. No one left behind.

Difficulty: Beginner L1 to L3 - Riders need to be comfortable standing up riding on gravel FSR’s. If you've taken our Pacific Enduro course you'll understand. Sitting on the flat stuff is ok but you need to be standing for the cross ditches, any water crossings and the uphill / downhill looser rock sections.

What to bring: Water (lots of it - it will be a HOT day), lunch, snacks, your road tools, goggles (for the dust) if you have them. Plan to be self sufficient for this Social distancing and safe, respectful adventure ride.

What to wear: Proper Adventure riding gear - good boots, gloves, body protection

Ride time: ~7 hours return from St. Davids including breaks and Indian Arm lunch.
Ride distance: ~220km return (110km pavement, 110km gravel)
